This plant can be grown indoors, as well as in public spaces, such as offices and lobbies. It is also often found in greenhouses, conservatories, and florariums. Description of Plectranthus ertendalei Care and Cultivation

For optimal development, this plant should be repotted regularly, approximately every two to three years, using standard-sized pots. When growing Plectranthus ertendalei as a groundcover, it is important to rotate its location as needed. As for the composition of the soil mixture itself, it’s important to mix three parts leaf mold and one part sand, turf, or garden compost. The acidity of this soil can be either neutral or slightly acidic.

The plant requires bright, indirect light, for this reason the plant should be kept in either eastern or western windows. If plectranthus ertendal grows on southern windows, then additional lighting will be necessary. As for growing on northern windows, additional lighting will need to be provided in the autumn and winter.

It is recommended to keep this plant at a temperature range between fifteen and twenty-five degrees Celsius. The plant should be watered abundantly and regularly. Excessive soil moisture and overdrying can negatively affect the development of Plectranthus Ertendal.

Most often, this plant is recommended to be grown in pots with a diameter of less than seventeen centimeters. In such pots, the soil should dry out in about three to four days: this is the watering regime that will be most preferable.

When the plant is grown as a ground cover, it is important not to allow the soil to dry out completely: at a depth of ten to fifteen centimeters, the soil should remain slightly moist.

It should be noted that this plant can tolerate low levels of air humidity quite well. However, it is not recommended to place Plectranthus Ertendal near heating systems. The optimal humidity level for growing this plant will be approximately fifty to fifty-five percent.
