The bluish broomrape inflorescence will be quite dense and cylindrical. The length of the corolla is fifteen to twenty millimeters, it is tubular and colored blue or purple.
The bluish broomrape blooms from May to June. Under natural conditions, the plant is found in the European part of Russia in the Volga region, as well as in the Dnieper region of Ukraine, in Moldova, in the Aral-Caspian region of Central Asia, as well as in Western and Eastern Siberia and in the following regions of the Far East: Sakhalin, Primorye and Amur region. For growth, the plant prefers scree, sea terraces, dry pine and mixed forests, arable lands, rocky and gravelly slopes. It is noteworthy that the bluish broomrape will parasitize species of the genus Artemisia.
