At first, the corolla of this plant will be colored yellow and then dark brown. The fruit of this plant is a single-seeded bean.

Dark chestnut clover blooms throughout the summer. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in the eastern Amur region of the Far East, in the European part of Russia, in Western Siberia and in the Daursky region of Eastern Siberia. For growth, the plant prefers forest lawns, light forests, wet and often even swampy meadows, places along mountain river valleys, ravines and mountain meadows up to the upper mountain zone.
