Description of Mogilev mallow

Mogilev mallow is an annual herbaceous plant, the height of which will fluctuate between thirty-five and one hundred and fifty centimeters. Such a plant can be equipped with either erect or straight stems. The leaves of the Mogilev mallow are long-petioled, they will also be almost round and endowed with wide-triangular or delta-shaped lobes. The petals of this plant can be colored in both reddish and pale purple tones, and they will be one and a half to two times the size of the calyx.

Under natural conditions, Mogilev mallow is found in Central Asia, Primorye and Prishurye in the Far East, Belarus, in all regions of Western and Eastern Siberia with the exception of the Leno-Kolyma region, as well as in the following regions of the European part of Russia: Volga-Don, Upper Volga, Ladoga-Ilmen and Volga-Kama. For growth, this plant prefers gardens, vegetable gardens and garbage areas.

Description of the medicinal properties of Mogilev mallow

Mogilev mallow is endowed with very valuable healing properties, and it is recommended to use the fruits, flowers and leaves of this plant for medicinal purposes.

As for traditional medicine, here this plant is very widespread. Traditional medicine recommends using a decoction prepared from the leaves and flowers of Mogilev mallow as a very effective emollient, which is used for gargling and various poultices.

Tibetan and Chinese medicine uses a decoction prepared from the flowers of this plant as a diuretic. In addition, Tibetan medicine recommends using the fruits of Mogilev mallow for various gastrointestinal diseases.

It is noteworthy that it is quite acceptable to use young shoots and leaves of this plant in food as a substitute for spinach and in the form of salads.

For lotions, compresses, washes, and baths, the following highly effective remedy based on this plant is recommended: To prepare this remedy, take four tablespoons of mallow flowers or leaves per approximately two cups of boiling water. The resulting medicinal mixture should first steep for approximately two hours, after which it is recommended to strain it very thoroughly.

For coughs, the following highly effective remedy based on this plant is recommended: To prepare this remedy, take two tablespoons of mallow flowers per approximately one and a half cups of water. The resulting medicinal mixture should first be simmered over fairly low heat for approximately two to three minutes, then let steep for one hour and then strain thoroughly. Take this remedy based on mallow three times daily, one-third of a cup, before meals. When used correctly and prepared correctly, this herbal remedy based on Mogilev mallow is very effective, and the positive effects are noticeable quite quickly.
