Jeffersonia dubica blooms from April to May. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in Primorye and the Amur region in the Far East. For growth, Jeffersonia dubious prefers deciduous and mixed forests, places among bushes and meadows, as well as humus soils. This plant grows either in small groups or singly. It is noteworthy that this plant is ornamental.

Jeffersonia dubious is endowed with very valuable healing properties, and it is recommended to use the rhizomes and grass of this plant for medicinal purposes. The concept of grass includes the flowers, leaves and stems of this plant.

The presence of such valuable healing properties of Jeffersonia dubious is explained by the content of saponins in the roots of the plant; alkaloids and saponins were also found in the rhizomes, and alkaloids are present in the leaves of this plant. The main alkaloid of this plant is berberine.

It is noteworthy that the tincture and decoction of the leaves of this plant have the ability to enhance the activity of the isolated heart of a frog. A decoction of the rhizomes of Jeffersonia equivosa is recommended for use to improve appetite, as well as to strengthen vision and to wash sore eyes. As for traditional medicine, a decoction of the herb Jeffersonia equivosa, which is used for chronic gastritis and to improve appetite, has become widespread.

If you have a poor appetite, it is recommended to use the following remedy: to prepare it you will need to take eight to ten grams of the rhizomes of this plant per three hundred milliliters of water. Then the resulting mixture should be boiled over low heat for four to five minutes, after which the mixture is left to infuse for two hours, after which the mixture is carefully filtered. Take this remedy based on Jeffersonia dubious, one-fourth of a glass three to four times a day before meals.

For gastritis with reduced secretion, it is recommended to prepare the following very effective remedy based on Jeffersonia dubiousa: to prepare it, take one tablespoon of dry crushed herb per glass of water. The resulting mixture should be boiled over low heat for two to three minutes and left to steep for an hour, after which the mixture is carefully filtered. Take this remedy based on this plant, one third of a glass, three to four times a day, half an hour to forty minutes before the start of a meal. It should be noted that the healing properties of this plant have not been fully studied, for this reason we can expect the emergence of new ways to use Jeffersonia dubious.
