The stem of this plant will be simple and erect, and also double-rowed. The leaves of the plant are short-petiolate, lanceolate, ovate-lanceolate, opposite and pointed. The flowers are found in branched-umbellate inflorescences; they are small in size and white or yellowish-white in color, and are also endowed with a very unpleasant odor. The flower stalks of this plant are located in the very axils of the leaves. The fruits of the medicinal plant are pod-shaped, bare, lanceolate leaflets. The seeds of this plant are numerous and will have a tuft of long hairs at one end.

Flowering of the medicinal plant occurs in the period from July to August. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in Ukraine, Western Siberia, Central Asia, as well as the steppe and southern strip of the European part of Russia. For growth, this plant prefers places among bushes, forests, forest edges and river banks.

The seeds of this plant are endowed with analgesic properties. In general, the drug is used as an antifever, laxative and diuretic.

Preparations prepared from this plant are recommended to be used to eliminate edema and increased heart rate, for sexual impotence, for malaria, to relieve intoxication, and also as a means that can induce menstruation.
