Dubrovnik-leaved grass is known by many popular names: andromeda angustifolia, barren grass, drunken grass, wild rosemary, wild rosemary and consumptive grass. Podbel oak-leaved is an evergreen branched shrub that will be quite low. Such a plant is endowed with recumbent and ascending branches, and the height of this plant will be about ten to forty centimeters. The leaves of this plant are linear-lanceolate, leathery, glabrous, they will be endowed with curved edges, and on top they will be shiny and green in color, while below such leaves will be whitish in color. The flowers of the oak leaf are drooping, they are on rather long stalks, and they will be located at the very ends of the branches, almost like an umbrella. The calyx and peduncle of this plant are painted in pink tones, while the calyx itself is five-separated, and the corolla will be pitch-shaped and five-toothed, it can be painted in red, white or pink tones. There are only ten stamens of the oak leaf, while the pistil is endowed with a five-star ovary. The fruit of this plant is a spherical-flattened capsule that will open with five doors.

This plant blooms from May to June. Under natural conditions, oak-leaved podbel is found in the Far East, central Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Western and Eastern Siberia. As for the general distribution, this plant can be found in China, North America and Korea. To grow, oak-leaved podbelf prefers coniferous forests, moss swamps, and the banks of swampy rivers and streams.

Description of the medicinal properties of oak leaves

Oak-leaf podbel is endowed with very valuable healing properties, and it is recommended to use the leaves of this plant for medicinal purposes. Such healing raw materials should be harvested from May to June.

The presence of such valuable healing properties is recommended to be explained by the content of tannins in the composition of this plant, while the leaves will contain andromedotoxin glycoside, which has a local irritant and narcotic effect.

An aqueous infusion prepared from the leaves of oak leaf is recommended for use for pulmonary tuberculosis, rheumatism and diarrhea. As for the aqueous decoction of the leaves of this plant, such a healing remedy is indicated for use for coughs, rheumatism and numerous female diseases.

For rheumatism, it is recommended to use the following very effective remedy based on this plant: to prepare such a healing remedy, you will need to take two teaspoons of dry oak leaf leaves per glass of boiling water. It is recommended to infuse the resulting healing mixture for about one hour, after which this medicine should be filtered very carefully. The resulting medicinal product based on oak leaf beetle should be taken three to four times a day, two tablespoons. To achieve maximum effectiveness, it is important to carefully follow all the rules for preparing such a product and strictly follow all the rules for its use.
