The leaves of this plant will be overwintering, soft-skinned, and will fall off after new leaves emerge and flower. On top, the leaves of this plant are painted in dark olive-green tones and are shiny, and from below, at first such leaves will be yellow-green, and later become brown. In outline, the leaves of Rhododendron lebedur will be ovoid-elliptical, their length can reach three centimeters, and their width will only slightly exceed one centimeter. The flower buds of this plant can be either single or two or three in the axils of the upper leaves of last year’s shoots. The corolla of rhododendron lebedur is painted in pink-violet tones, its length will slightly exceed two centimeters, this corolla is bell-funnel-shaped, it will be equipped with a wide bend and a short tube.
This plant blooms from June to July, with re-blooming occurring from August to September. Lebedura rhododendron will bear fruit from August. Under natural conditions, this plant is found on the territory of the Sayan Mountains in Eastern Siberia and the Altai region of Western Siberia. For growth, this plant prefers the slopes of mountain river valleys in the upper and mid-mountain zones, spruce forests, mountain slopes, deciduous and mountain forests, rocks and rocky placers.
