Scandix stellata

Scandix stellata is a member of the Apiaceae family. Its Latin name is Scandix stellata Banks et Soland.
The family name of Scandix stellata itself is Apiaceae Lindl. (Umbelliferae Juss.).
Description of Scandix stellata
Scandix stellata is an annual herbaceous plant, reaching heights between eight and thirty centimeters. The stem is branched at the top and is covered with short hairs. The leaves of Scandix stellata are bipinnate and tripinnate, measuring five centimeters long and three centimeters wide, with an ovate outline. The umbel of this plant has one to three rays, the flowers are subsessile, and the petals are white. The fruit of the stellata scandix is sessile, brownish-brown, and covered with whitish, stiff, upward-pointing bristles. The hemicarpels of this plant have prominent ribs and are approximately twenty to thirty millimeters long.
In the wild, the stellata scandix is found in Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Crimea. This plant prefers dry riverbeds, rock crevices, fine-grained slopes, scree slopes, and dry, rocky slopes.
Description of the medicinal properties of the stellata scandix
The stellata scandix has very valuable medicinal properties, and it is recommended to use the herb of this plant for medicinal purposes. The herb includes the leaves, stems, and flowers. The presence of such valuable medicinal properties can be attributed to the flavonoids and coumarins found in this plant, while the fruits contain quercetin glucoside and luteolin 7-glucoside.
It is noteworthy that both a decoction and an infusion made from this plant are quite widespread in Armenia. These remedies are used to treat various respiratory infections.
For adenovirus infection, the following medicinal remedy based on this plant is quite effective: to prepare such a medicinal product, you will need to take five tablespoons of Scandix stellata herb per about one liter of boiling water. The resulting healing mixture should first be left to infuse in a thermos for about two hours, after which this medicinal mixture based on this plant must be filtered very carefully. Take the resulting medicinal product based on the herb Scandix stellata three to four times a day, regardless of food intake, one-third of a glass.
As an antitumor agent, it is recommended to use the following very effective medicinal remedy based on this plant: to prepare such a medicinal remedy, you will need to take three tablespoons of dry crushed Scandix stellata herb for about two full glasses of water. The resulting medicinal mixture should first be boiled for about three minutes over fairly low heat, then left to infuse for two hours, after which this healing mixture must be filtered very carefully. Take the resulting medicine based on Scandix stellata three times a day before meals, one third of a glass, as an antitumor agent. If taken correctly, this medicine based on Scandix stellata turns out to be very effective.
