The flowers of this plant are quite small in shape, they will be collected in long loose clusters and are colored in pale yellow tones. There are only four sepals and petals of the corolla of oak grass, there will be six stamens, and the pistil will be equipped with an upper ovary. The fruits of this plant are oblong-oval pods, which will be located on deflected pedicels. The seeds of oak groats are small in shape and brown in color.

This plant blooms from April to June. under natural conditions, oak grove is found in the European part of Russia, the Far East, Central Asia, Ukraine, Belarus, the Caucasus, Western and Eastern Siberia. For growth, this plant prefers edges, forest glades, meadows, open grassy slopes, pebbles, places among bushes, river banks, gravelly places, arable lands, fallow lands. As a weed, oak groats can be found in fields.

Description of the medicinal properties of oak groats

Oak groats are endowed with very valuable healing properties, and it is recommended to use the seeds and grass of this plant for medicinal purposes. The concept of grass includes the pods, leaves and stems of this plant. The presence of such valuable healing properties should be explained by the content of saponins, alkaloids, flavonoid glycosides kaempferol and quercetin in the aerial part of this plant, while nitrogen-containing compounds and saponin are present in the seeds.

As for traditional medicine, an aqueous infusion of the herb of this plant is quite widespread. This aqueous infusion of oak groats grass should be used internally as a diuretic, hemostatic and blood purifying agent for various skin diseases, especially for children. This remedy is also used for bone fractures and leukemia. A decoction prepared from the seeds of this plant is used as a diuretic, and also for pleurisy, whooping cough, ascites, chronic bronchitis, cardiac and renal edema.

For whooping cough, it is recommended to use the following remedy based on oak grains: to prepare such a remedy, you will need to take one tablespoon of dry crushed stems of this plant per two hundred milliliters of boiling water. The resulting healing mixture should be infused for about two hours, after which the mixture should be filtered very carefully. Take the resulting healing remedy based on oak grits three times a day with one third of a glass.

For diathesis in children, you should take one teaspoon of seeds in a glass of water, then boil for five minutes, leave for an hour and strain. This healing remedy is taken three times a day, one or two tablespoons.
