Strawberry (lat. Fragaria) is a berry that combines the qualities of strawberries and wild strawberries. Currently, there are a great variety of varieties of this crop.

Description

Zemklunika is a berry that combines the best qualities of wild strawberries and strawberries. The fruits of this crop are always very fragrant and quite large, and the plant itself is characterized by excellent winter hardiness and unpretentiousness. And the best part is that the juicy fruits of strawberries are completely indestructible. In the worst case scenario, they will simply dry out. From each strawberry bush you can get up to 400 g of berries.

Varieties

Penelope. These medium-sized bushes always produce a bountiful harvest. In addition, this variety is very resistant to powdery mildew, and it does not need pollinators.

Nadezhda Zagorya. This variety of dredgeweed is characterized by fairly tall bushes, and its bisexual flowers do not require pollination at all. 300 g of berries are usually collected from each bush.

Diana. Tall bushes that produce berries with an average weight of 20 g. And the average yield of each bush is about 250 g.

Report. Very powerful berry bushes, the flower stalks of which do not bend under the weight of the berries. About 200 g of berries are collected from each plant.

Candied Nutmeg. This variety is incredibly resistant to diseases and pests, and the yield of each bush is about 250 g.

No less interesting are varieties such as Biryulevskaya Muscat, Raisa and Strawberry variety.

Benefit

Zemklunika is an incredibly healthy dessert. It can be consumed either fresh or in puree form. By the way, it is quite possible to freeze the puree — the juicy berries will not lose their beneficial properties. Zemclunica also makes excellent jam.

The beneficial properties of earthen grass make it possible to treat a wide variety of ailments with its help — gout, rheumatism, hypertension and arthritis. The miraculous berries do not promise complete healing, but they will definitely help get rid of some unpleasant symptoms.

Growing and care

The soil for growing dredges must be prepared in the most careful way. For this purpose, fertilizers are added to it in the form of organic and mineral fertilizers. You can prepare an excellent fertilizer by mixing 5 kilograms of manure with 200 grams of ash, and then adding 20 g of ammonium nitrate and superphosphate to them. This is the calculation for each square meter of planting.

And earthworms should be planted either closer to autumn or in spring. The second option is considered the most optimal. The growing points should not be too close to the soil surface, but not too far from it.

As a rule, dredge plants form quite lush bushes, so you should not plant them too close to each other. Ideally, the distance between the bushes should be about forty centimeters. Most often, earthworms are planted on two beds or on one, but in a checkerboard pattern. All bushes must be well lit.

This culture needs careful care. High-quality feeding is especially important for her. Fertilizers must be applied before and during flowering, as well as after the strawberries begin to bear fruit.

If the earthworm is grown on bare ground, then with the onset of autumn it must be covered for the winter. And if there is snow, there is no need to worry about proper shelter. By the way, the best covering material for dredging will be spruce branches — it retains snow and heat excellently.

Quite often, whiskers form on the dredge, which must be systematically removed. By the way, it can also be propagated with a mustache — it is not at all necessary to use only seeds for this. The most suitable for reproduction will be young antennae with rosettes, which already have three leaves or more. And this crop is very resistant to diseases, although occasionally gray rot can form on it — this usually happens in areas with high humidity.
