Eyebright straight
Eyebright is one of the plants of the family called Noricaceae; in Latin the name of this plant will be as follows: Euphrasia stricta D. Wolff ex S. T. Lehm (E. condensata Jurd.).
Description of eyebright straight
Eyebright or erecta is an annual herbaceous plant. The stem of this plant is erect, it can be either completely simple or branched in the lower part, and the height of such a stem will fluctuate between one and twenty-five centimeters. This stem will be colored either purple or reddish. The lower leaves of Eyebright straight will be blunt and wedge-shaped, they will be equipped with one or two teeth on each side. The middle and upper leaves of this plant are lanceolate, they are very sharp and the greatest width is noted in the middle. At first, the inflorescence of straight eyebright will be quite dense, the flowers are located on short pedicels, the corolla will be small in size, and by the end of flowering its length will be about six to eight millimeters. The upper lip of such a corolla is two-lobed, while the lower lip is three-lobed; the corolla will be whitish with a bluish upper lip. In this case, sometimes the entire corolla can be violet, blue or purple. The capsule of the straight eyebright is wedge-shaped and oblong.
Flowering of straight eyebright occurs in the period from July to October. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in the central zone of the European part of Russia, the Caucasus, Belarus and Ukraine. As for the general distribution, this plant can be found in Scandinavia and Central Europe. For growth, eyebright prefers the banks of streams, forest edges in the alpine mountain belt, grassy, rocky and rocky slopes.
Description of the medicinal properties of eyebright
Eyebright is endowed with very valuable healing properties, and it is recommended to use the herb of this plant for medicinal purposes. The term grass includes leaves, stems and flowers.

As for traditional medicine, eyebright has become quite widespread. Here, an infusion prepared from the herb of this plant is recommended for use for bronchitis, colds, cough, fever, bronchial asthma, clouding of the cornea, sore throat, gastritis with high acidity of gastric juice, for the treatment of eyes with inflammation of the eyelids and stomach ulcers.
An infusion and decoction of the herb of this plant is recommended to be taken for colds, as tea for fever, and in addition, such remedies are used for childhood eczema and diathesis. To improve hair growth, it is recommended to wash your hair with a decoction prepared from the straight eyebright herb. The herb powder of this plant should be sprinkled on various wounds, and a decoction of the herb should be used to wash sore eyes. It should be noted that such remedies turn out to be very effective and a positive result is noticeable almost immediately.
To prepare the decoction, take one tablespoon of chopped herb with two cups of boiling water. The resulting mixture should be infused for two hours, and then filtered thoroughly. For bronchitis, take the decoction four times a day, one-third of a glass.
