Radish

Radishes are an early-ripening vegetable that grows in a month or less.
Sowing
Before sowing, it is recommended to disinfect the seeds in hot water. This needs to be done for about twenty minutes, the water temperature is 50°C). Then the seeds need to be cooled, treated with fertilizer containing microelements, and dried.
For radishes, you need to choose a well-lit place. It is better to plan the first planting in early spring, the second planting in the spring, but a little later, then the radishes are sown in summer and autumn. Sowing is carried out with 3-5-line tapes, leaving a distance of 10-12 centimeters between the rows; about 45-50 cm should remain between the tapes.
In warm weather, young seedlings can be spoiled by cruciferous psyllid. To reduce harm, it is important to protect crops using covering material. At the same time, it is better to refrain from using insecticides.
The seed sowing rate is considered to be 0. 9-1. 2 g per square meter. The seeds are planted to a depth of three centimeters. It is recommended to place the seeds at some distance from each other so that you do not have to thin out later.
However, radishes can be sown without planting them in the soil. To do this, you need to water before sowing and after sowing (2-3 days) from a watering can with small holes.
Rules of care
Plant care procedures include getting rid of weeds, loosening, and thinning radishes by 4-6 cm.
Caring for radishes consists of weeding, loosening and thinning the plants by 3-6 cm. Regular watering is necessary, because if they are not carried out at the right time, the root crops become coarser and become bitter; it is especially important to maintain soil moisture at a sufficiently high level when the true leaf appears and at the beginning of the formation of the root crop. Irregular watering leads to cracking of root crops. We water radishes every day if there is no precipitation.
Radishes are harvested selectively as the vegetables ripen and as you want to add juicy radishes to your salad. If the root crop is not removed in time, the vegetable becomes flabby. Freshly harvested radishes should be stored in the refrigerator or other cool place at a temperature of 0-1°C.
Radishes can be planted together with onions and carrots, as well as parsley. Radishes grow well after potatoes and cabbage. Radishes can also be grown on a windowsill and in a greenhouse.
Composition
Radishes are rich in magnesium, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium and phosphorus, as well as vitamins B and PP, ascorbic acid.
