Paunsettia is considered an evergreen plant with a height of no more than half a meter. The leaves are ellipsoidal, petiolate, and jagged along the edges. The leaf can reach 15 cm in length. The flowers are yellow and have red bracts. Pawnsettia is considered an annual plant, but if properly cared for, it can become a perennial plant.

To extend the life of this plant, you must adhere to some rules and recommendations:

1. If there is a sudden loss of foliage, reduce watering to a minimum, until the soil is almost completely dry. You should also refuse feeding. We trim the flower to 15 cm in height. We place the pouncetiya in a cool and dark place until May.

2. In May, the plant must be placed in a warm and well-lit place. It is worth starting watering and fertilizing. Feeding should be carried out mineral fertilizers when Pawnsettia begins to grow, it is necessary to replace the soil.

3. In mid-autumn, you need to place the flower in a place where sunlight does not penetrate, and keep it there for about half a day every day.

4. Once the bracts are formed, care becomes routine.

Pouncetia is considered a poisonous plant due to the milky sap it produces. This juice can cause enormous damage to the eyes. Growing this flower is contraindicated for people who are prone to allergies. If it enters the esophagus, vomiting and intestinal upset may occur.

The temperature regime for keeping pounsettia should not exceed twenty-five degrees, and during flowering and in winter – no higher than fourteen degrees. In summer you should water the plant generously, but in winter the soil should be slightly moist. Pouncetia should be sprayed only during flowering, with settled and warm water.
Fertilizing should be done from the beginning of spring until the very end of autumn. Pouncetia should be fed no more than twice a month; complex and mineral fertilizers are suitable for this. Replanting pawnsettia occurs at the end of spring, when the plant’s first leaves appear after dormancy. For planting, the soil must be slightly acidic there must be drainage at the bottom of the pot. Punsetia is pruned twice a year – before hibernation and after replanting.
