As for the name of the Montpelian Camphorosma family itself, in Latin it will be: Chenopodiaceae Vent.

Description of Camphorosma Montpelii

Camphorosma Montpelii is a subshrub endowed with recumbent woody stems. Such stems will branch mainly in the upper part, and the height of such a stem will be about fifteen to fifty centimeters. The leaves of this plant are quite small, they are subulate, hard and straight, and are also endowed with a very characteristic camphor smell, and their length will be about three to ten millimeters. The flowers of Camphorosma Montpelii are quite small in size, they are inconspicuous and endowed with a simple green pericarp. Such flowers will be collected in elongated spike-shaped inflorescences.

Flowering of Camphorosma Montpelii begins at the end of the summer period and continues until autumn. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in the south of Western Siberia and the south of Ukraine, in Kazakhstan, the Caucasus, and also in the southern regions of the European part of Russia. For growth, the plant prefers rocky slopes, clayey salt marshes and saline steppes. It is noteworthy that sometimes the plant can grow in groups.

Description of the medicinal properties of Camphorosma Montpelii

Camphorosma Montpelii is endowed with very valuable healing properties, and it is recommended to use the herb of this plant for medicinal purposes. The term grass includes flowers, leaves and young stems. It is recommended to harvest such raw materials around July-September.

It should be noted that the chemical composition of Camphorosma Montpelii has not yet been fully studied: an essential oil with the smell of bitter almonds was reliably discovered in the composition of this plant.

The plant has wound-healing, stimulating, anti-inflammatory, diaphoretic, and diuretic properties. In folk medicine, an infusion and decoction of Camphorosma montpellierensis is widely used. The infusion and decoction are used for whooping cough, chronic rhinitis, nervous disorders, absent menstruation, colds, and also as a diuretic for edema. External use of this plant’s herb is acceptable as a wound-healing agent for cuts and minor wounds. Poultices of young shoots of this plant are very effective in promoting the resorption of tumors.

For neuroses, the following highly effective remedy based on Camphorosma montpellierensis is recommended: to prepare this remedy, add one tablespoon of dried Camphorosma montpellierensis to one cup of boiling water. The resulting mixture should be steeped for approximately one to two hours, after which the Camphorosma Montpellier mixture should be thoroughly strained. Take one tablespoon of the resulting remedy three to four times daily. It is important to remember that to ensure maximum effectiveness when taking this Camphorosma Montpellier remedy, it is recommended to strictly adhere not only to all preparation instructions but also to the instructions for taking it. Only then will the Camphorosma Montpellier remedy be highly effective in combating neuroses of various origins.

New remedies based on this plant may also emerge, due to the fact that its chemical composition has not yet been fully studied.
