Description of green maple
Greenbark maple is a shrub or tree, the height of which will be about ten to twelve meters, and the diameter will be approximately thirty to thirty-five centimeters. This plant is endowed with rather soft, light and fragile wood, painted white. A characteristic feature of the greenbark maple is its smooth bark in young plants, which turns green. In old individuals of green maple, such bark will be colored in greenish-gray tones. The leaves of this plant are bare and quite large in size; the length of such green maple leaves is about nine to seventeen centimeters, and the width is about seven to seventeen centimeters. The shape of the leaves of this plant can be either oblong-quadrangular or rounded-quadrangular. The leaves of the greenbark maple are lobed, but very rarely the lower pair of lobes of this plant can be underdeveloped. The flowers of the green maple are in rather long, terminal, drooping and loose racemes, and the color of such flowers will be yellow. The seeds of the green maple are lionfish, the length of which will be about two and a half to three centimeters. Such lionfish of this plant are also endowed with a wing, which will diverge at a very obtuse angle.
Greenbark maple blooms in June, while the fruits ripen in September. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in the Far East. As for the general distribution of green maple, it is found in northeast China and Korea. For growth, this plant prefers dense mixed and coniferous forests in the mid-mountain and upper mountain zones. It is noteworthy that greenbark maple can grow either singly or in small groups. It is important to note that this plant is very decorative. Greenbark maple will be cultivated in the following cities of Russia: Moscow and St. Petersburg. It should also be noted that in the Far East, greenbark maple will practically not be found in cultivation.
