Description of spreading quinoa
Spreading quinoa is an annual herbaceous plant, the height of which will fluctuate between twenty and ninety centimeters. The stem of this plant is straight and branched. It should be noted that almost all the leaves of the spreading quinoa will be alternate, on both sides they are painted in the same tones, most often the color will be dark green. The lower leaves of this plant can be either rhomboid-lanceolate or lanceolate, usually they are also endowed with a spear-shaped base, and such leaves will be entire or jagged. The upper leaves of Quinoa are lanceolate and entire. The bracts of the female flowers of this plant are free almost to the very base and are rhombic-ovate.
Spreading quinoa blooms in the second half of the summer. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in Ukraine, the Caucasus, Belarus, the European part of Russia and Siberia, and extremely rarely this plant will be found in Central Asia and Kazakhstan. It should be noted that this plant is sometimes grown as a vegetable crop. For its growth, spreading quinoa prefers river banks, places along roads, vegetable gardens and wastelands.
Description of the medicinal properties of quinoa
Spreading quinoa is endowed with very valuable healing properties, and for medicinal purposes it is recommended to use all above-ground parts of this plant, which should be harvested throughout the entire flowering period. The presence of such valuable healing properties of this plant should be explained by the content of ascorbic acid, carotene, saponin and betaine in its aerial part, while phospholipids will be present in the seeds of quinoa.
Preparations made from this plant are endowed with restorative, anti-inflammatory, expectorant, diuretic, sedative and hemostatic effects. An infusion of quinoa has also become quite widespread in folk medicine: this healing agent is used for chronic bronchitis, hemorrhoids, jaundice, dry cough and gout. In addition, this medicine is also used for leucorrhoea, scanty menstruation, various gynecological diseases and during childbirth to facilitate the release of the baby’s place.
For hysteria, a salad is recommended, which was prepared on the basis of fresh young leaves of the spreading quinoa. In addition, this salad should also be used as a vitamin supplement, for lung diseases and for delayed menstruation. It is permissible to apply fresh crushed leaves of this plant to wounds. It should be noted that sometimes the seeds of quinoa are also used as an anti-constipation and emetic.
For jaundice and gout, it is recommended to use the following very effective remedy based on quinoa: to prepare such a healing remedy, you will need to take twenty grams of the herb of this plant per two hundred milliliters of boiling water. The resulting product should be infused for two hours, after which this mixture based on this plant should be filtered very carefully. Take the resulting healing remedy based on quinoa one hour before meals three times a day, one glass or half of it.
