The plant is endowed with two stages of development: spring and summer. The leaves of the spring stage are either oblong-ovate or ovate, their length will not exceed five centimeters, and their width will not exceed about two and a half centimeters. On top, such leaves of Leibnizia astamenata are colored green, and below they will be white-tomentose. Peduncles are arrows of one or two pieces, their length will be about five to eighteen centimeters. The peduncles of this plant are simple and straight, tomentose, they will bear one basket at a time. The disc flowers are endowed with both lips, which will end in a ring. It should be noted that in the spring stage, Leibnizia astamena does not form leaves.

This plant blooms from July to September. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in the Daursky and Angara-Sayan regions of Eastern Siberia, as well as in the west of the Amur region, the Kuril Islands, the Sakhalin Islands and Primorye in the Far East. For growth, this plant prefers forest edges, steppes and dry open slopes.

Description of the medicinal properties of Leibnizia astaminalis

Leibnizia astaminate has valuable medicinal properties, and its herb is recommended for medicinal purposes. These valuable medicinal properties are attributed to the plant’s content of coumarins, prunasin, and the following heterocyclic compounds: 6-acetyl-5-hydroxy-2, 2-diisovaleryloxybenzofuran, 2-methylbutyryloxyisoprenyl-2, 3-benzofuran. An infusion prepared from Leibnizia astaminate is recommended as an emollient for various respiratory ailments and is also used as a bittering agent.

To prepare a medicinal remedy based on Leibnizia astaminate, it is recommended to use one teaspoon of crushed herb per one cup of boiling water. The resulting medicinal mixture is recommended to steep for one hour, after which it is carefully filtered. A remedy based on Leibnizia astaminate is taken as a bittersweet, one to two tablespoons at a time.

A very effective remedy for respiratory ailments is the following Leibnizia astaminate-based remedy: to prepare this remedy, add one tablespoon of dried, crushed herb to three hundred milliliters of boiling water. It is recommended to let the resulting mixture steep for one hour, then strain it thoroughly. Take this remedy three times daily, one-third of a glass or half a glass. For maximum effectiveness, it is very important to follow all the instructions for taking this remedy and its preparation.
