In addition, the difference will be blunt and notched leaves at the very top and inflorescences located on stalks. It is noteworthy that the length of such leaves will exceed the length of the fertile catkins.

Under natural conditions, this plant is found in the forest-steppe and forest zones of the European part of Russia, as well as the Trans-Urals, the northern half of the Kazakhstan small hills and the Ciscaucasia. To grow, sticky alder prefers damp places, river banks and marshy soils, and this plant will form real forests.

Description of the medicinal properties of sticky alder

Sticky alder is endowed with very valuable healing properties, and it should be noted that in medical practice, the fruits of this plant are recommended to be used on a par with the fruits of gray alder. This circumstance should be explained by the fact that alkaloids, tannins and gallic acid were found in the composition of this plant. In addition, the sticky alder bark will contain approximately twenty-five percent tannins.

Preparations based on the fruits of this plant in the form of either a tincture or a decoction are recommended for use as a very effective astringent, hemostatic and anti-inflammatory agent for rheumatism, colitis, gout, enterocolitis, acute and chronic enterocolitis. A decoction based on sticky alder should be used to gargle for various colds, and the mouth should be rinsed to strengthen the gums. Preparations based on the fruits of this plant will not be toxic and will not have a negative effect on the composition of the blood, the cardiovascular and nervous systems.

For colitis, it is recommended to use the following healing remedy based on this plant: to prepare such a healing remedy, you will need to take four grams of cones per glass of water. The resulting healing mixture should be boiled for about eight to ten minutes, then this mixture is left to infuse for one hour, after which it is recommended to strain this remedy very carefully. Take the resulting healing remedy based on sticky or black alder three to four times a day, one-third of a glass.

For diarrhea, the following healing remedy based on this plant is effective: to prepare such a healing remedy, you will need to take one part of the cones of this plant to five parts of forty percent alcohol. This tincture should be taken three times a day, twenty-five to forty drops before meals.

For diarrhea and dysentery, the following remedy based on sticky alder will be effective: to prepare such a healing remedy, you will need to take thirty grams of crushed bark of this plant per glass of boiling water. The resulting mixture is infused for two hours and then filtered very carefully. Take this healing remedy based on sticky alder three to four times a day, one tablespoon. Provided that it is properly prepared and taken correctly, this healing remedy will be very effective and a positive result will be noticeable quite quickly.
