Description of the heart-shaped linden

The cordate linden is a fairly tall tree, endowed with furrowed dark gray bark and a spreading, dense crown. The leaves of this plant will be round-heart-shaped in shape, they are very delicate, and the edges of such leaves are finely toothed. The flowers of this plant are quite small; they are collected in a corymbose inflorescence, endowed with a leaf-shaped bract. The calyx of the cordate linden will be separate and consist of five sepals, the same corolla and quite a few long stamens will be fused together into five bunches. The pistil of this plant consists of five carpels, endowed with a five-locular ovary. The fruit of the cordate linden is a nut endowed with one or two seeds.

Under natural conditions, this plant is found in the European part of Russia, but will not go beyond the Urals; this plant is also found in the Caucasus, and in Bashkiria it will form continuous forests. Quite often this plant is grown in parks and alleys as an ornamental tree.

Description of the medicinal properties of cordate linden

The cordate linden is endowed with very valuable healing properties, and for medicinal purposes it is recommended to use the flowers of this plant, the so-called “linden blossom”. The presence of such valuable healing properties should be explained by the content of tannins, essential oil, mucus, carbohydrates, saponins, sugary substances, bitterness, protein, pigments and glycosides in this plant. It should be noted that the dried raw materials of this plant are endowed with a very effective diaphoretic and expectorant effect.

The heart-shaped charcoal obtained from the linden tree is recommended for use in preparing animal charcoal. This charcoal is used for intestinal bloating and poisoning.

In everyday life, linden blossom is used in the form of a water infusion or decoction. This healing agent is used as a diaphoretic for coughs in children, colds, bark, mumps, neuralgia, and also in the presence of sand in the gall bladder. Linden flowers are used for rinsing, aromatizing baths, and also for making poultices for gout and joint rheumatism.

The fruits of this plant contain up to thirty percent of valuable nutritious oil, which will taste very much like almond oil. The cakes are used to feed livestock. It should be noted that the cordate linden is also a very valuable honey plant. Linden honey is colorless and fragrant; it is also endowed with very effective medicinal properties.

To prepare a very valuable medicinal product based on cordate linden, it is recommended to take four tablespoons of linden blossom per liter of boiling water. It is recommended to place the resulting healing mixture in a thermos, where the mixture will be stored. Take the resulting medicinal product based on cordiform linden, hot or warm, in a glass once or twice a day. It is important to remember that in order to achieve the greatest effectiveness when taking such a medicinal product based on this plant, you should not only follow all the rules for preparing such a medicinal product, but also strictly follow all the rules for taking a medicinal product based on cordiform linden. If used correctly, the positive effect will be noticeable quite quickly.
