Illyrian buttercup is a perennial herbaceous plant whose height will vary between eighteen and forty-five centimeters. Such a plant is tomentose-silky-hairy, and sometimes it can also be endowed with underground shoots. The stem of the Illyrian buttercup is straight and has few flowers; it can be either branched or simple. The leaves will be three-dissected into lanceolate or linear segments. The diameter of the flowers of this plant will be about two to three and a half centimeters. The sepals of the Illyrian buttercup will be white-tomentose on the outside, and at the bottom they are reflexed. The petals of this plant are broadly obovate and are painted in pale yellow tones; the length of such petals will be about twelve to seventeen millimeters. The fruits of the Illyrian buttercup will be crowded into a dense oblong head, they will also taper into a protruding, straight and short nose, which will be somewhat hooked at the very end.

The Illyrian buttercup blooms from April to June. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in the territory of Ukraine, the Caucasus, Belarus, as well as the European part of Russia, with the exception of only the Dvina-Pechora, Karelo-Murmansk, Volga-Kama and Ladoga-Ilmensky. For growth, this plant prefers fields, steppe oak forests, deciduous groves, black soil and gravelly steppes.

Description of the medicinal properties of Illyrian buttercup

Illyrian buttercup is endowed with very valuable healing properties, and it is recommended to use the herb of this plant for medicinal purposes. The term herb includes the flowers, stems and leaves of the Illyrian buttercup.

To prepare such a decoction, which is quite effective, you will need to take about one kilogram of Illyrian buttercup herb; the resulting raw material should be boiled for about ten to twelve minutes in a sealed container. After this, you should leave the resulting healing mixture based on Illyrian buttercup to infuse for one hour, then this mixture should be filtered very carefully. It is important to remember that such a healing remedy based on this plant is used for a full bath, the volume of which will be approximately two hundred and fifty liters.
