Noccaea cochleariformus

Noccaea cochleariformus is a member of the Brassicaceae or Cruciferae family. Its Latin name is Noccaea cochleariformus (DC.) A. et D. Love (Thiaspi cochleariforme DC.).
As for the family name itself, the Latin name is Brassicaceae Burnett. (Cruciferae Juss.).
Description of Noccaea cochleariformis
Noccaea cochleariformis is a perennial, bare herbaceous plant, growing between five and thirty-five centimeters tall. In addition to stems, this plant also has shortened leafy shoots, the stems themselves being simple. The leaves of the Nockeya scaly-leaved plant are oval, thick, and smooth-edged, with a glaucous hue. The petals of the Nockeya scaly-leaved plant are white, approximately six to seven and a half millimeters long, unequal and obovate, with one pair of petals slightly shorter than the other. The pods of this plant are obovate-cuneate, approximately two and a half to four millimeters wide and five to nine and a half millimeters long. The seeds of the Nockeya scaly-leaved plant are usually arranged in clusters of four, less than two millimeters long and just slightly over one millimeter wide, and are yellowish-brown in color.
The flowering period of the Nockeya scaly-leaved plant begins in May and ends in April. In the wild, this plant is found in Central Asia, European Russia, the Altai region of Western Siberia, and the Daurian and Angara-Sayan regions of Eastern Siberia. Nockeya sp. prefers rocky slopes, alpine meadows, coastal gravel beds, and rocky steppes, from plains to highlands.
Description of the medicinal properties of Nockeya sp.
Nockea spoonfullina possesses valuable medicinal properties. This plant is widely used in folk medicine. In folk medicine, infusions and decoctions made from Nockea spoonfullina are recommended for pleurisy, pneumonia, pulmonary tuberculosis, and lung abscesses, as well as other respiratory ailments, as a highly effective expectorant. An infusion made from Nockea spoonfullina flowers is used for various kidney and joint ailments, and is also used for sexually transmitted diseases and skin conditions.
For pneumonia, the following remedy based on this plant is recommended: to prepare this remedy, add three tablespoons of crushed dried Nockea spoonfullina to half a liter of water. The resulting healing mixture should be simmered over low heat for approximately three to four minutes, then left to steep for one hour, after which it is thoroughly strained. Take this remedy based on Nokkea spoonful three to four times daily, one-third of a glass before meals.
For lung abscesses, the following remedy is used: to prepare it, add one teaspoon of this plant’s flowers to two hundred milliliters of boiling water. Let the resulting mixture steep for one hour, after which it is recommended to strain it very thoroughly. Take this remedy based on Nokkea spoonful three to four times daily, one-quarter of a glass. When used correctly, this remedy is very effective.
