This plant blooms from July to September. In the wild, this plant is found in Central Asia, Belarus, Western Siberia, Crimea, Ukraine, the Caucasus, and all regions of European Russia, with the exception of the Lower Volga and Karelo-Murmansk regions. Silene noctiflora prefers steppe slopes, shrub thickets, riparian forests, river floodplains, and forest edges in the lowland and mid-mountain zones. As a weed, this plant can be found in gardens.
