The bitter heart is one of the plants of the family called cabbage or cruciferous plants; in Latin the name of this plant will be as follows: Cardamine amara L.

As for the name of the bitter heart family itself, in Latin it will be: Brassicaceae Burnett. (Cruciferae Juss.).

Description of bitter kernel

Bitter core is known by many popular names: mokrukha, water watercress, buimina, rezhuha, watercress, bitter meadow cress, bitter grass, watercress, mokrukha and bitter radish. Bittersweet is a perennial herbaceous plant whose height will vary between ten and thirty centimeters. The stem of such a plant is ascending or erect, it will be grooved and endowed with a core inside. The leaves of bittersweet will be pinnate and have five to seven rounded leaflets. The flowers of this plant are colored either white or pale pink, and in quite small quantities they will be collected with a brush. The calyx of the bitter heart consists of two pairs of falling leaves, the corolla is four-petalled, and the petals are three times longer than the sepals and are arranged crosswise. There are only six stamens of this plant, they will be the same in length as the petals, and the anthers are colored purple. The fruit of the bitter core are pods on legs that will be erect, endowed with flat valves and a thin awl-shaped column, and the length of such a column will be greater than the width of the pod itself.

Flowering of the bitter heart occurs during the period from April to June. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in Belarus, Ukraine and the European part of Russia. As for its general distribution, bittersweet can be found throughout Europe. For growth, this plant prefers swamps, river banks and wet meadows.

Description of the medicinal properties of bittersweet

The bitter heart is endowed with very valuable healing properties, and for medicinal purposes it is recommended to use the juice, powder of dried flowers, and the tops of stems with flowers of this plant. The presence of such valuable healing properties should be explained by the content of ascorbic acid, bitter substances, essential oil and mustard glycoside cochlearin in the leaves of this plant.

The bitter kernel is endowed with very valuable antiscorbutic, diuretic and anticonvulsant properties. In addition, this plant has become quite widespread for various colds. Along with the whey, it is recommended that adults drink the juice of this plant several times a day, one tablespoon at a time.

For a variety of colds and skin diseases, it is recommended to take about one gram of powder prepared from the flowers of the bitter heart in the morning and evening.

For seizures, it is recommended to use the following very effective remedy based on this plant: to prepare such a medicine you will need to take one tablespoon of bittersweet for about one full glass of boiling water. The resulting medicinal mixture should be infused, after which this remedy is completely ready for use. This aqueous infusion of the coriaceae herb is effective when taken by children for seizures. It is important to remember that, provided that it is properly prepared and used, such a medicinal remedy based on bitter kernels will be very effective, and a positive result will be noticeable quite quickly.
