The stem leaves of this plant will be sessile, sharp and oblong, while most often they are vaguely toothed, and the flower stalks are thin. The length of the baskets will be about one and a half centimeters, and the width will be equal to a centimeter and one and a half centimeters, while such baskets are collected into a spreading shield-shaped panicle. The corollas are painted in bright yellow tones, while the tongues will be slightly longer than the corolla tube and will be equipped with darker teeth. The limb is located at the very base and is endowed with silky hairs. The length of the achenes of the Japanese gourd will be about three to four millimeters, they will be slightly crescent-shaped and dark brown in color.
The flowering of Japanese gourd occurs from June to August. Under natural conditions, this plant can be found in Central Asia, the Far East, as well as Western and Eastern Siberia. For growth, this plant prefers meadow slopes, dry meadows and places among bushes.
Description of the medicinal properties of Japanese gourd
It should be noted that Japanese gourd is endowed with quite valuable medicinal properties. The presence of such properties is explained by the content of very useful substances in this plant. Infusion and decoction prepared from the herb of this plant are recommended for use for fever and nervous diseases, as well as as a diaphoretic and laxative.
For fever and as a diaphoretic, it is recommended to use the following remedy: to prepare it you need to take eight grams of dry crushed Japanese gourd grass per three hundred milliliters of water. This mixture should be boiled for three to four minutes, and then left to steep for an hour and strain thoroughly. Take this remedy half a glass or one third of it three times a day.
The following remedy is effective as a laxative: to prepare it you will need to take one tablespoon of dry crushed Japanese gourd grass per glass of boiling water. The resulting mixture should be infused for two hours, after which this mixture is carefully filtered. Drink one glass of this mixture in the morning before meals.
For neurasthenia, the following remedy is effective: to prepare it you will need to take one tablespoon of dry crushed Japanese gourd grass for about one glass of water. The resulting mixture should be boiled for about three to four minutes, after which the mixture is left to infuse for about two hours and then filtered thoroughly. In order to achieve the greatest effectiveness, it is recommended not only to carefully follow all the conditions for preparing this product, but also all the rules for its administration. This remedy based on Japanese gourd should be taken approximately one to two tablespoons three times a day for both neurasthenia and neuroses.
