The bark is painted in dark gray tones; on young branches it will be red-brown in color. The lenticels of this plant are scattered and almost sessile. The length of the leaves will be about five to ten centimeters, and the width will be three to seven centimeters. The leaves of dushekia shrub can be either broadly ovate or ovate. These leaves are sharp and have a rounded base. The leaves of this plant are colored dark green on top; they can be either glossy or matte. The leaves are paler below, they are often resinous from spreading glands, and along the main veins they are endowed with short reddish hairs.

Anther earrings will bloom at the same time as the leaves unfold; their length will be three to six centimeters. The bracts are colored in violet-brown tones, while the pistillate catkins will be oval in shape, they are all on stalks. Dushekia shrubby blooms at the end of May, and in the north this period shifts to May-June.

Under natural conditions, this plant can be found in the European part of Russia: in the Volga-Kama and Dvina-Pechora regions, as well as in Eastern Siberia, in the European and Siberian Arctic, in the Amur region in the Far East, as well as in the Ob and Altai regions of Western Siberia.

Description of the medicinal properties of Duschekia shrubby

Dushekia shrub is endowed with very valuable healing properties, and it is recommended to use the inflorescences, leaves, trunk bark and roots of this plant for medicinal purposes. A decoction of the roots and tincture of the inflorescences of dushekia shrub is used for scrofula.

As for traditional medicine, a decoction of the bark of this plant is used to treat various gastric diseases and conjunctivitis. Fresh leaves of this plant can be applied to purulent wounds. A decoction of the fruit is recommended for use for scrofula and cough, and the infusion is used as a hemostatic agent.

It should be noted that Dushekia shrubby is one of the most promising breeds for cultivation on slopes that are susceptible to erosion. The plant plays a soil-protecting and water-protecting role, and is also a nitrogen collector. The bark of this plant can be used to tan leather. The inflorescences are used as food for hazel grouse.

For gastric ulcers, it is recommended to use a fairly effective remedy based on duschekia shrubby; to prepare such a remedy you will need to take two teaspoons of crushed roots of this plant per glass of water. The resulting mixture should be simmered over low heat for four to five minutes, and then the mixture is left to infuse for one hour. Take this remedy one tablespoon three times a day.

When coughing, it is recommended to use the following effective remedy based on this plant: to prepare it, take one tablespoon of the fruit per glass of water. The resulting mixture should be boiled for three to four minutes, and then left to steep for one hour and filtered thoroughly. Take this remedy one third of a glass three times a day.
