Serrano pepper

Serrano pepper (lat. Capsicum annuum Serrano) is one of the varieties of chili pepper.
Description
Serrano pepper is a plant that produces quite interesting bullet-shaped fruits. The size of each fruit usually does not exceed four centimeters. Initially, all peppers are covered with a shiny light green skin, and as they ripen, the fruits acquire a characteristic bright red color.
Thin partitions located inside the peppers help reduce their pungency, which in turn can significantly expand the scope of their use. In order to get rid of the strong pungency, it is quite enough to remove the internal partitions and tiny seeds from the peppers.
The very first information about this unique pepper appeared in Mexico (in the mountainous regions). And it got its name in honor of the picturesque mountains called the Sierra. By the way, this pepper was very popular among such ancient tribes as the Aztecs, Mayans and Incas.
