Low cinquefoil is an annual, biennial, or even three- and four-year-old plant, endowed with a simple root. The height of the stems of such a plant will fluctuate between fifteen and forty centimeters. Such stems can be either single or several pieces, and they are also erect or prostrate. The root and lower stem leaves of Potentilla low are on rather long petioles, and they are also pinnate. The upper stem leaves of this plant will often be trifoliate and almost sessile, with such leaves being more or less hairy on both sides. Such stem leaves will be colored green. Potentilla low flowers will be quite small. The outer and inner sepals will be endowed with almost the same size. The petals of the low cinquefoil are colored yellow and are almost equal to the sepals. The stamens of this plant are on short threads, their number is fifteen to twenty pieces.

Low cinquefoil blooms from June to August. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in Central Asia, Belarus, Ukraine, Eastern and Western Siberia, as well as in regions of the European part of Russia, with the exception of only the Karelo-Murmansk, Lower Volga, Dvina-Pechora and Ladoga-Ilmensky regions. For growth, the plant prefers pastures, places near houses and along the edges of roads, river banks, grassy slopes, crops and vegetable gardens. It should be noted that this plant is a very valuable honey plant.

Description of the medicinal properties of Potentilla low

Low cinquefoil is endowed with very valuable healing properties, and it is recommended to use the roots of this plant for medicinal purposes. The presence of such valuable healing properties is explained by the content of tannins, vitamin C and traces of alkaloids in this plant.

As for Tibetan medicine, a decoction of the roots of this plant is quite widespread here. This healing agent is used for pulmonary tuberculosis, gastrointestinal diseases, cancer, atherosclerosis, infectious and acute respiratory diseases.

In folk medicine, the aerial part of the cinquefoil is used in the form of an infusion or decoction as a tonic, astringent and antipyretic.

For diarrhea, it is recommended to use the following remedy based on this plant: to prepare such a remedy, you will need to take two teaspoons of dry crushed roots of cinquefoil per glass of water. It is recommended to boil the resulting mixture over fairly low heat for about two to three minutes. The resulting decoction should be infused overnight, after which it is filtered very carefully. Take the resulting healing remedy based on cinquefoil three to four times a day before meals, one-fourth of a glass.

For atherosclerosis, it is recommended to use the following quite effective remedy: to prepare such a remedy, take three tablespoons of dry crushed herbs of this plant per two glasses of boiling water. The resulting mixture is infused for two hours and filtered. Take this healing remedy based on cinquefoil three to four times a day, one-fourth of a glass.
