Turchaninov’s lumbago is a perennial herbaceous plant, the height of which will reach about forty centimeters. In outline, such root leaves of Turchaninov’s lumbago will be ovoid, their length is four to fourteen centimeters, they can be either double-pinnate or triple-pinnate. The leaf coverings of this plant will be deeply palmate, they can be either pinnately divided or equipped with incised segments with entire lobes, however, such lobes can be two or three-toothed at the top. The flowers of this plant are almost erect, half-open and quite large; the length of such flowers will be about two and a half to three and a half centimeters, and the width will be eight to twelve centimeters. The flowers of Turchaninova’s lumbago will be straight, and they are painted in blue-violet tones. The fruits are endowed with awns or columns, and their length is three and a half to four millimeters.
This plant blooms from April to May. Under natural conditions, Turchaninov’s lumbago is found in the Far East, Western and Eastern Siberia. For growth, this plant prefers steppe slopes, steppe meadows, sandy bog hills, dry meadows and the outskirts of pine forests.
