Tatarian girchevnik is one of the plants of the family called Umbellaceae; in Latin the name of this plant will be as follows: Conioselinum tataricum Hoffm.

Description of the Tatar girchevnik
Girchevnik Tatarian is a perennial herbaceous plant. It is noteworthy that the entire plant is bare, and its stem will be cylindrical and somewhat grooved; at the nodes such a stem is somewhat geniculate and curved, and in the upper part it will also be branched. Such a stem is covered with a bluish coating, and its height will fluctuate between fifty and one hundred and fifty centimeters. The lower leaves of this plant are on petioles; they will be broadly triangular in outline, and also double- or triple-pinnate. In color, these leaves will be green and shiny, and underneath they are lighter, their length will be about fifteen and thirty centimeters, while the width will be identical. It is noteworthy that the upper leaves of the Tatarian girchevnik will be smaller, they are sessile and are located on wide, swollen and deviated from the stem sheaths. The umbrellas will be about six to ten centimeters in diameter, they will be endowed with about fifteen to thirty rough rays. The umbels are multi-flowered and are about one to two centimeters across. The petals are painted white, and they are also obversely heart-shaped. The fruit will be naked, shiny and ovoid-oblong, the length will be about four to five millimeters and the width will be approximately three millimeters.
Flowering of Tatarian girchevnik occurs in the period from July to August. Under natural conditions, this plant can be found on the territory of the European part of Russia, as well as Central Asia, Western and Eastern Siberia, in addition, the plant is also found in the Dnieper and Verkhnedneprovsky regions of Ukraine. For growth, Tatarian girchevnik prefers mixed, coniferous and deciduous forests, as well as floodplain and mountain meadows, scree and tall grasses, up to an altitude of approximately 3300 meters above sea level.
Description of the medicinal properties of Tatar girchevnik
Tatar girchevnik is endowed with quite valuable healing properties, and it is recommended to use the fruits and roots of this plant for medicinal purposes. There is an essential oil in the roots of this plant, and it is also found in the above-ground part of the Tatar girchevnik. The leaves contain the following flavonoids: kaempferol and quercetin; the fruits of the Tatarian girchevnik contain coumarins and essential oil.
A decoction prepared from the roots of this plant is used in Chinese medicine as an analgesic for strokes and dysmenorrhea, and the fruits of the Tatarian herb are used in Tibetan medicine as an analgesic and also as a myometrial relaxant. This remedy is also effective for enterocolitis and chronic colitis. It is noteworthy that the infusion of this plant was also used as an insecticide to kill bedbugs.
For colitis, it is recommended to use the following remedy: to prepare it you will need to take one tablespoon of the roots of the Tatarian girchevnik in two glasses of water, this mixture should be boiled for about five minutes over fairly low heat. Then this mixture should be left to infuse for one hour, and then filtered thoroughly. This remedy is taken half a glass three times a day.
For a stroke, the following remedy will be effective: to prepare it, it is recommended to take one teaspoon of the fruits of this plant in one glass of water, and then leave to boil over low heat for about five minutes. This mixture should be infused for one hour, and then this mixture should be carefully filtered. Take this remedy one to two tablespoons three times a day.
