Cold gentian

Cold gentian is one of the plants of the family called Gentiaceae; in Latin the name of this plant will be as follows: Gentiana algida Pall.
As for the name of the cold gentian family itself, in Latin it will be: Gentianaceae Juss.
Description of gentian cold
Cold gentian is a perennial herbaceous plant whose height will vary between ten and thirty-five centimeters. This plant is endowed with basal leaves that will be either linear-spatulate or oblong-spatulate. The length of such leaves will be about seven to fifteen centimeters, and the width will be four to eight centimeters. The stems of cold gentian are straight. There will be about two to five flowers, sometimes they are also single. The flowers of this plant are surrounded by apical leaves, and the corolla is painted in whitish-greenish-golden tones.
Under natural conditions, this plant is found in the Eastern Arctic, the Far East, Central Asia, as well as in Western and Eastern Siberia. For growth, cold gentian prefers peat bogs, swamps, wet rocky and gravelly slopes, swampy meadows, moraines, banks of rivers and streams in the upper mountain zone, and sometimes also in the middle mountain zone. It is noteworthy that this plant is ornamental.
Description of the medicinal properties of cold gentian
Cold gentian is endowed with very valuable healing properties, and it is recommended to use the herb of this plant for medicinal purposes. The concept of grass includes the leaves, flowers and stems of this plant. In Tibetan medicine, a decoction and infusion of this plant is recommended to be used as a bitter, which will help improve stomach function. In experiments, an aqueous extract of the herb of this plant is capable of exhibiting hemostatic properties.
An infusion of cold gentian herbs and flowers is recommended for use in acute bronchitis, pulmonary tuberculosis, tonsillitis, aphonia, laryngitis, lobar pneumonia, and also as an antipyretic and detoxifying agent for various infectious and inflammatory diseases, which will also be accompanied by a fairly high temperature. It should be noted that the aqueous-alcoholic tincture of this plant will also exhibit anti-Trichomonas activity.
An infusion of cold gentian flowers as part of the collection can be used internally and topically, which is recommended for diseases of the throat cavity. Moreover, in Tibetan medicine this remedy is widely used for hypoacid gastritis.
For acute bronchitis, sore throat, pulmonary tuberculosis, aphonia, laryngitis, it is recommended to use the following remedy: to prepare it you will need to take eight grams of dry crushed grass per three hundred milliliters of boiling water. This mixture should be infused for two hours, and then it is recommended to strain thoroughly. This remedy is taken in half a glass about four to five times a day, warm. It should be noted that this remedy can also be used as a detoxifier and as an antipyretic.
For acute respiratory diseases, it is recommended to use the following remedy: to prepare it, take five grams of dry crushed herb per glass of boiling water, then leave for about an hour and filter. This remedy is taken half a glass three times a day, warm. In addition, this remedy can be taken half a glass half an hour before meals in order to stimulate appetite; this remedy is very effective if all rules of administration are followed.
