We fight pests using traditional methods

Every gardener knows that one of the most difficult problems that one has to face when growing crops is pests, which can significantly spoil the quantity, degrade the quality of the fruit, and in particularly advanced cases, even destroy the plant. Modern industry offers a huge selection of pesticides, but this is not a panacea — in addition to pests, these substances destroy beneficial insects that take part in plant pollination. In addition, they are unsafe for humans and tend to accumulate in fruits. A worthy replacement for pesticides are natural plant poisons, which are destructive to parasites, but absolutely harmless to humans. In addition, next to the beds you can plant plants, whose smell can repel many pests (for example, onions, garlic, dill).
Below are four of the most effective herbal remedies against parasites.
1. Walnut. Its leaves contain poisons in large quantities that are harmful to Colorado potato beetles. They should be harvested in the fall, collecting fallen leaves — during this period the concentration of toxins in them is maximum. Prepare an infusion from the leaves of the walnut at the rate of two hundred to three hundred grams per 1 liter of water. Spray potatoes three to four weeks before a massive invasion beetles — having tasted such leaves, the beetles and their larvae will die immediately and will not bother you throughout the season.
2. A decoction of tomato tops is a powerful remedy against aphids. Tops should also be harvested in the fall. The decoction is prepared at the rate of two kilograms of tops per ten liters of water. Boil the water with the tops for an hour, stirring occasionally, then cool and strain. Dilute the resulting infusion by half. Add fifty grams of laundry soap.
3. Infusion from potato tops. Pour one and a half kg of tops collected in the fall with ten liters of water and leave for two to three hours, then strain and dilute. Thoroughly spray the beds with the resulting liquid. The pests will die in two to three hours. ATTENTION! You should not take more than one and a half kilograms per ten liters — this can cause plant burns.
4. Infusion of onion peels. An effective means of fighting against aphids and mites. To prepare, take two hundred to three hundred grams of husk, add ten liters of water and leave for four to five days. Then filter. Spray the crops with the resulting liquid — the infusion will immediately kill parasites and will repel them throughout the season.
In addition, onions can serve as an excellent remedy against pests even when planted in beds — if you plant them next to cabbage beds, you can forget about the invasion of slugs. In addition, onions will repel pests that lay eggs on potato and tomato leaves.
