Description of the beautiful centaury
Beautiful centaury is an annual herbaceous plant, the height of which will fluctuate between two and forty-five centimeters. The stems of this plant are tetrahedral, above or below the middle they will be more or less abundantly branched, they are endowed with branches directed obliquely upward. It is noteworthy that the basal rosette of leaves is absent. The stem leaves can be either oblong-linear or oblong-ovate in shape; these leaves are pointed. The inflorescences will be multi-flowered, they are endowed with somewhat splayed pedicels. The lateral flowers of this plant will be on distinct pedicels, the length of which reaches ten millimeters. The tubular calyx is endowed with sharp teeth, which will be almost equal to the tube of the beautiful centaury. The length of the corolla is twelve to thirteen millimeters, the diameter at the bend will be six to eight millimeters, the corolla is equipped with a narrow tube that will rise above the cup and the white blades of the bend. The blades will be elliptical-oblong and blunt in shape. The capsule of this plant is oblong and almost single-lobed, its length is nine to ten millimeters, the seeds of the beautiful centaury are very small and colored in dark brown tones.
The beautiful centaury blooms from May to October. Under natural conditions, the plant is found in the European part of Russia, as well as in Ukraine, Central Asia, Belarus and Western Siberia. For growth, the plant prefers the banks of reservoirs and streams, ditches, shallow-earth areas among rocks, saline marshy meadows, fixed sand and juniper forests. Sometimes the plant is found as a weed in crops from the lowlands to the upper mountain zone. It is noteworthy that this plant is also very decorative.
Description of the medicinal properties of beautiful centaury
Beautiful centaury is endowed with very valuable healing properties, the presence of which is explained by the content of alkaloids and saponins in the plant.
As for traditional medicine, infusions, thick extracts and decoctions based on this plant are widely used. Such products should be used similarly to similar products based on centaury. It should be noted that it has been proven that a decoction based on this plant has given positive results in curing malaria, and can also exhibit protistocidal activity.
For cholecystitis, it is recommended to prepare the following remedy based on this plant: to prepare such a remedy, it is recommended to take twenty to thirty grams of beautiful centaury herb per liter of boiling water. The resulting mixture should be allowed to brew, and then it should be carefully filtered. Take half a glass of this remedy three times a day, thirty to forty minutes before meals.
For heartburn, you should use the following very effective remedy based on this plant: to prepare such a remedy, grind the beautiful centaury herb into powder. This remedy is taken one or two grams several times a day, after which it is washed down with half a glass of boiled water.
