The leaves of the three-horned bedstraw, six to eight pieces each, are in spaced whorls, they are linear-lanceolate, the length of such leaves is about eight to twenty millimeters, and the width will be equal to one and a half to two and a half millimeters. The bracts of this plant will be lanceolate, paired and unequal, the length of such leaves is five millimeters, and the width will be about half a millimeter or one millimeter. The semi-umbrellas of the three-horned bedstraw are paired, axillary and tri-flowered; they will not exceed the leaves in size, while all peduncles and pedicels will be tetrahedral and thick, along the ribs they will be lined with spines. The flowers of this plant will be bisexual, most often they are in semi-umbrellas. The corolla of the three-horned bedstraw is painted in cream tones, and its diameter will be about two and a half to three millimeters. The fruits of this plant are double, their length is four millimeters and their width is about six millimeters.

Three-horned bedstraw blooms from April to August. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in Central Asia, Crimea, the Caucasus, as well as in the Black Sea and Upper Volga regions of the European part of Russia. For growth, this plant prefers places near roads, fields, gravelly slopes, and railway embankments in the lower and middle mountain zones.

Description of the medicinal properties of three-horned bedstraw

Three-horned bedstraw is endowed with very valuable healing properties, and for medicinal purposes it is recommended to use the grass and juice of the above-ground part of this plant. The concept of grass includes flowers, leaves and stems. The presence of such valuable healing properties should be explained by the content of anthraquinones in the herb of this plant, while the fruits contain asperuloside.

As a diuretic for scrofula, scurvy and ascites, it is recommended to use the following very effective remedy based on this plant: to prepare such a healing remedy, you will need to squeeze the juice from the above-ground part of the three-horned bedstraw. This healing remedy should be taken three times a day, one teaspoon. It should be noted that to achieve the greatest effectiveness, it is necessary not only to carefully follow all the rules for preparing such a medicinal product based on the three-horned bedstraw, but also to strictly follow all the rules for taking such a medicinal product.
