Description of Gentian punctata

Gentian dotted is a glabrous perennial plant that is colored green. The height of such a plant will be about twenty to sixty centimeters. The rhizome of Gentian punctata will be quite thick and upright, while the stems of this plant will be dense, thick and unbranched. The leaves of this plant are elliptical, their length reaches six to nine centimeters, and the width will be approximately three to six centimeters.

The flowers of this plant are clustered at the tops of the stem, and in smaller numbers they are located in the axils of the upper or two upper pairs of leaves. The calyx of Gentian punctata is membranous, its height will be about five to seven millimeters. The corolla of this plant will be membranous, tubular, and its length will be four to five times the calyx. This corolla will be yellow in color, and it is also quite densely covered with dark purple dots. The seeds of this plant are winged.

Flowering of gentian point occurs in the period from June to July. For growth, this plant prefers meadows and grassy slopes both in the mountainous and middle zones of Ukraine in the Carpathians. It is noteworthy that this plant is not only decorative, but also an insecticide.

Description of the medicinal properties of gentian acupressure

Gentian acupressure is endowed with quite valuable healing properties, and it is recommended to use the entire aerial part and rhizomes of this plant for medicinal purposes.

The presence of such valuable healing properties of this plant is explained by the content of flavonoids, carbohydrates, steroids and triterpenoids. It should be noted that the rhizomes of this plant were included in the Pharmacopoeias of many countries around the world, including the countries of the former Soviet Union.

As for the medicinal use of gentian punctata, it is similar to yellow gentian. In folk medicine, preparations based on the roots of this plant are recommended for use in depression, scrofulosis and gout, as well as as a tonic, detoxifying and anti-fever agent. It should be noted that the juice from the herb of this plant is actively used for rheumatism and malaria, and the infusion of the herb is used as an appetite stimulant, as well as a laxative and diuretic. In addition, such a product can also be used as a cosmetic, as well as a wound-healing agent.

To improve appetite, the following remedy based on gentian punctata is effective: to prepare it you will need to take one tablespoon of crushed roots of this plant per glass of water. This mixture should be boiled for about five minutes, and then left to infuse for one hour and strain thoroughly. It is recommended to take one tablespoon three times a day about half an hour before meals.

The following remedy is used as a diuretic: to prepare it, take one tablespoon of dry crushed herb of this plant per glass of boiling water. This mixture is infused for an hour and then filtered thoroughly. This remedy should be taken one tablespoon three times a day before meals. Provided that all rules of administration are followed, this remedy based on gentian acupressure turns out to be very effective.
