The umbels of this plant are borne on peduncles, approximately five centimeters in diameter, and feature approximately five to ten short, rough rays located on the inner surface. The umbels contain two to four pistillate flowers and numerous staminate flowers. The petals of the Orlaya grandiflora are white, sometimes with purple and reddish hues. The outer petals are quite enlarged, reaching eight to thirteen millimeters in length, making them almost ten times longer than the rest. The fruits of the Orlaya grandiflora are ovoid, approximately five millimeters wide and ten millimeters long.

This plant blooms from June to July. In the wild, the Orlaya grandiflora is found in the Caucasus and Crimea. This plant prefers forest edges, shrub thickets, sparse oak forests, boundaries, roadsides, and fallow lands.

Simmer the resulting mixture over low heat for approximately three to four minutes. Then, let it steep for approximately one hour, after which it should be thoroughly strained.
