Description of Sarmatian kendyr

Sarmatian kendyr is a perennial herbaceous plant, the height of which will be about one hundred to one hundred and twenty centimeters. The stem of this plant is straight and branched, it is endowed with reddish-brown bark and will bear branches of the first and second orders. The leaves of this plant will be elliptical, sometimes they can be oblong. The length of such leaves will be about three to four and a half centimeters, and the width will be one and a half to two centimeters. The leaves are obtuse and rounded, and at the base they will be bare. The inflorescence of Sarmatian kendyr is a compact panicle consisting of corymbs. The inflorescence will most often be few-flowered. The flowers themselves are painted pink, their length is six to eight millimeters, and their width does not exceed one millimeter. Such flowers will be dull: they are painted in purple tones. It is noteworthy that one-third of the corolla will be incised, it is endowed with reddish stripes and is densely pubescent. The leaflets will be linear and cylindrical, and their length will be ten to eighteen centimeters, while the width will not exceed half a centimeter. Sarmatian kendyr seeds are very small, they are colored brown, and their length is two millimeters.

Sarmatian kendyr blooms from June to August. Under natural conditions, this plant will be found in the south of the European part of Russia, in the Crimea, in the Caucasus, and also in the Black Sea zone of Ukraine. For growth, the plant prefers saline sand, plains, tugai, river valleys and swampy meadows. It should be noted that this plant is an insecticide.

Actually, this plant is endowed with a rather small range; in Russia, Sarmatian kendyr is most often found exclusively in the Nizhny Novgorod region and Chuvashia. It should be noted that the plant most often prefers limestone slopes for growth; in addition, the plant is found in river valleys and in saline areas. It is noteworthy that from the stems of this plant it is possible to obtain long, strong fiber, from which coarse fabrics can be made. The leaves of Sarmatian kendyr will contain rubber, but this plant does not have any particular industrial significance.

Description of the medicinal properties of Sarmatian kendyr

Sarmatian kendyr is endowed with very valuable healing properties, and the roots and rhizomes of this plant should be used for medicinal purposes. The presence of such valuable healing properties is explained by the content of the following cardenolides in the plant: apocannosides, cymarin, apobioside and K-strophanthin-beta.

It is noteworthy that the roots and rhizomes of this plant are used as raw materials for the production of a drug that will be endowed with cardiotonic effects. Stems of Sarmatian kendyr can be used to obtain fiber.

As an insecticide intended for washing hair, you should use the following product based on Sarmatian kendyr: to prepare such a product you will need to take five to six tablespoons of crushed herbs of this plant per liter of boiling water. The resulting mixture based on this plant should be infused for one or two hours, after which this mixture is filtered very carefully.
